hell and high water???

last night, i had a dream that I had to complete an extreme obstacle course, in order to prove my love and dedication for music. I literally had to run up walls and jump fire pits. It was a very long, scary course. As I neared the fire pit, there was a crowd of people standing around, talking about how they weren't going to finish, because they were afraid. In the crowd were all the people I've met over the years, claiming to be artists and writers.

Some warned me not to go, because it was dangerous. I continued, regardless. I didn't want to stop and be like everyone else. I did want to be able to say that I had done everything I could possibly do to attain my ideal career goal. I jumped the fire pit with no problem, and finished the obstacle course. At the end was a concert. My mother was there with a couple of other family members.

Apparently, the fire wasn't real, and was just put there for intimidation. "They" wanted to know who would give their all and overcome their fears, in order to get closer to their dream. I could look at this as something that has lots of meaning or I could see this as a really random dream.
